About Us
The Tri-County Catfish Association was started during the spring of 2006, after changes to Clinton Lake made night tournaments undesirable. Two anglers who frequented these Clinton Lake events wanted a local club in order to qualify for larger tournaments held by Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops. Thus, TCCA was born. During the 2007 season 32 different teams participated.
The Tri-County Catfish Association is a 100% payback club. Tournaments are held on the Illinois River at the Pekin, IL boat launch. Tournaments run March – August with the Classic being held in September. These are two-person, six fish limit, rod and reel tournaments. The top two teams for each event qualify for the Cabela's King Kat Classic and the Bass Pro Shop Big Cat Quest.
